Monday 4-15 Oligotrophic, Eutrophic and Mesotrophic

An eutrophic lake is a lake that is highly productive and has a large population of plants and aniamls. A mesotrophic lake is a lake that is moderately producative and has a moderate population of plants and animals in it. Then you have an olig

otrophic lake. An oligotrophic lake is a lake that has small productivity and has a small population of plants and animals living in it. It is important to know which type of lake you are studying because this gives you a lot of answers to things and why they are how they are. This also helps you understand what types of plants and animals you are studying and the population of them.
